Executive Education Online Programs

Harvard Kennedy School offers a suite of online executive programs designed for nonprofit and NGO managers from around the world, who are not able to attend on-campus programs. These online executive programs connect leaders across the globe through highly interactive, live sessions. This model affords the ability to balance work commitments with academics and to reflect on and implement principles in real-time.

All participants will earn a certificate upon completion of their program. An Executive Certificate with a Concentration in Nonprofit Leadership can also be earned by taking three or more programs in the online series. Discounts on subsequent programs are available.

Online executive programs at Harvard Kennedy School offer a wealth of benefits to participants, including:

Live Classes

Online programs are taught live by the same full-time Harvard University faculty who teach on campus. Participants log-in to engage in highly participatory classes driven by group discussion. Participants can see and hear one another and are expected to actively participate. Class enrollment is kept small to ensure direct feedback from faculty and peers.

Program Content

Participants are assigned readings, multimedia content, and discussion board questions prior to attending live classes. Everyone is expected to come to the live class sessions ready to reflect on their own personal and professional experiences and how these relate to the content in the preparatory work. Course content is available on our online platform 24/7 and for a year after to the conclusion of the program.

Interactivity

Our online programs are designed to enhance connectivity and interaction between participants and faculty. Through live classes and discussion boards, participants get to know each other’s interests and learn from one another. Participants receive direct feedback from faculty throughout the program through class discussion, message boards, office hours, and workbook assignments.

Convenience

Harvard Kennedy School’s online learning modules allow participants the flexibility to learn at their own time and pace, while providing the skills needed to make an immediate impact at their organizations.
