Maxime Fern is Executive Director of Vantage Point Consulting, an Australian company specializing in organizational and leadership development. Together with her partner, Michael Johnstone, she consults to business and government in Australia, SE Asia and the United States, working with senior executives, top teams and other groups of managers to link leadership, people, strategy and purpose. Current clients include the Australian Treasury, Food Science Australia, a large pharmaceutical company and the Australian Information Industries Association. In the USA she has worked with Abbott Laboratories and AT &T. Maxime is a consulting psychologist. Her work as a systems family therapist led to systems interventions within organizations and was the beginning of the business of 'interfering in other people's business'. Maxime is a graduate of the Australian National University and the University of Canberra. She is the Director of Studies for Senior Women in Management, a year-long federal program run under the auspices of the Public Sector and Merit Protection Commission, which seeks to develop women leaders in government and is visiting faculty to the University of New South Wales. She is a facilitator of complex system change and coaches and advises federal Ministers and Departmental Secretaries on their leadership. A particular interest is the Science and Technology sector, where she runs Leadership Programs for senior members of the scientific community focused particularly on collaborative research.
