Guhan Subramanian, HLS Faculty



Guhan Subramanian is the Joseph Flom Professor of Law and Business at the Harvard Law School, where he teaches courses on negotiations and corporate law. He is a member of the executive committee of the Program on Negotiation and the faculty head for the JD/MBA program at Harvard University. Before joining the Harvard Law School faculty he spent three years on the faculty at the Harvard Business School, where he was the co-course head of the first-year required course on Negotiations and taught a second-year elective on business law. He also spent three years at McKinsey & Company, as a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions practice in New York City and the McKinsey Global Institute in Washington, D.C. Professor Subramanian’s research explores the bargaining relationships among parties in corporate control situations as well as other multi-party corporate negotiations. He published articles in the Stanford Law Review, the Yale Law Journal, the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and the Journal of Corporation Law, among other places. His articles have been selected by other corporate law academics as among the “top ten” corporate law articles for each of the past four years, from among more than 300 articles published in each of these years.
